

WHO WE ARE
Hero Scuba Group is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing SCUBA diving experiences and services for enthusiasts of all levels, with a focus on reducing or eliminating the side effects of PTSD, anxiety, trauma, and injuries suffered by Veterans and Emergency First Responders.
Our organization offers NAUI SCUBA diving training, group therapy, aquatic conservation outings, and sales of related products. Our unique connection is in our holistic approach, combining SCUBA diving, group therapy, and aquatic conservation outings.
We are a diverse group of individuals, including family members and non-affiliated members. Our organization is five years old and our non-profit organizational budget operates on donations and sponsors.
The very key to our strength is our community and the manta ray is a perfect adequation of strength and wisdom which Polynesian cultures believe. Our key challenges include reaching our target audience and increasing donations, which our website aims to address.

OUR SERVICES
At Hero Scuba Group, we offer SCUBA diving experiences and services tailored to reduce or eliminate the side effects of PTSD, anxiety, trauma, and injuries suffered by Veterans, Emergency First Responders, and their families.
Our services include teaching NAUI SCUBA diving training, group therapy, aquatic conservation outings, annual trips, and sales of related products. Our strength lies in our holistic approach, combining SCUBA diving, group therapy, and aquatic conservation outings to support Veterans and First-Responders.
We offer these services to Veterans, First responders, Alumni, and family members looking for a new way to relieve stress. Our organization aims to reach a specific number of candidates and increase donations for its cause, particularly in Texas.
We are excited to serve our community with these unique services that are designed to improve the quality of life of our applicants.

The magic of Hero Scuba Group starts here. As a Veteran operated 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization our commitment is driven by our passion to ensure that we maintain our growing community. Finding solutions through the therapeutic benefits of SCUBA diving is our mission to help aid Veterans and First Responders.
Through the support of our Team, Alumni, and the family members of our community we build lasting relationships. We look forward to growing a diverse community through SCUBA diving.
STAFF MEMBERS
Our Team are a wonderful collection of SCUBA enthusiasts and professionals who volunteer tirelessly to support Hero Scuba Group day in and day out. They represent an integral part of our organization.
They come from diverse backgrounds which also shines their colorful personalities. Our trust in them is what brings out the very best of our growing community. We lean on our dedicated special team to find creative solutions and make memorable relationships throughout San Antonio.

David "Chief" Solis
David is a 23 year AirForce Veteran. He has spent his career in IT as a National Guardsmen and a Reservist with the Special Operations Community. His love for diving was first discovered in Hawaii on a Discover Dive. From there he received his PADI open water certification in Texas 20 years ago. During, the Covid Pandemic his AirForce career led him into the rescue community, where he first glanced into the rescue diver's course. He later went onto pursue his Divemaster Certification. He has logged hundreds of dives professionally and leisurely. David's bucket list for diving is to dive every major ocean and his  favorite place to dive is Belize! Outside of diving, David enjoys racing his motorcycle at track days and riding his motorcycles on the weekends in the hill country with his friends.

Brenton
Brenton has not served in the military but has been actively involved in supporting the families of service members. With nearly 30 years of diving experience, he is a NAUI certified Rescue Diver and is currently pursuing his Divemaster certification. Professionally, Brenton works as a healthcare consultant, and in his personal time, he enjoys backpacking, skiing, and attending baseball games with his son. He competed as a swimmer at the high school level and was selected to participate in a state tournaments finishing slightly behind other Hero board members.
